Sunday Park and Virginia State Capitol Engagement

This summer in Virginia has been one of the rainiest summers I have seen since moving here 7 years ago. When I first moved here, the rain and humidity took a little getting used to coming from Idaho where we could go all summer without seeing any rain. But, I have never seen this.much.rain! I feel like the weather forecast is calling for rain pretty much every day and it isn’t just a shower here and here, but more of the all day, gloomy kinda rain. I don’t know about you but this summer girl needs her sun!

Amber, Michael, and I originally planned to have their engagement session at Sunday Park which was going to be a gorgeous and local way to incorporate the water that Michael grew up on. Unfortunately, we had to reschedule their first session at the Boathouse due to a monsoon (not really a monsoon, but pretty much) that started 20 minutes into their session. A couple weeks later, we planned a more formal, sunrise session at the capitol building.

I absolutely love when couples decide to dress up for their session and when Amber let me know that Michael would be wearing a suit for their second session my little photographer heart jumped for joy!

I loved my time with Amber and Michael, getting to know them through two engagement sessions and I can’t wait for their wedding next year in Chesapeake!
