A Belle Isle Engagement Session – Richmond, Virginia

I first met Kailey and Cody during the summer last year and quickly learned how adorable they are together. A young couple – both attending college and in their senior years. They have been dating for 5 years already and Cody proposed while on a surprise date at Maymont complete with a horse drawn carriage!

I am so lucky to have couples who trust me fully as their photographer and Kailey and Cody are the epitome of this. We decided to meet at Belle Isle for their engagement session and before Kailey knew what hit her, we were walking on top of boulders and jumping over the icy cold water. Kailey handled the situation with grace as she very willingly followed with her gorgeous dress and Cody, being the gentleman he is, helped Kailey every step of the way. He was always making sure she was ok, and holding her hand to keep her balance in her dress shoes.

I can’t wait for their wedding in June but until then, here are a few of my favorites from their engagement session!
